Festive Fifty, Dub & Sex

Boring or not, the Festive Fifty seems to have livened up the Peel list for a while. I've been listening to Peel since 1968 and now have 10's and probably 1000's of favourite tracks thanks to his uniquely eclectic tastes. I may have discovered Wild Man Fischer, Kevin Coyne, The Humblebums, Bundu Boys, Dougie McLean, Junior Delgado, Napalm Death and Millie Jackson eventually, but I doubt it. Rose of Cinnamon and Smells Like Teen Spirit still get me going, but I would happily trade 50 of these vote winners for the thousands of forgotten masterpieces that he has played over the years. I suspect there are many like me out there with racks of John Peel compilations gathering dust until they are come alive in the car on a long journey. That's the strange thing about Peel, he will play anything that moves provided it's 'now', or occasionally pre-1960, but he won't acknowledge the hidden gems in his own back catalogue.
What would get my vote? Probably the middle bit of any of the really echoey Dub tracks he has played over the years, but the rules don't allow me to vote for a middle bit, more's the pity.
By the way, I'm living in Belgium and have heard very little of the Festive Fifty, so I am following it via the Peel list. Sad really, a bit like getting sexually aroused from reading reviews of Eyes Wide Shut.
