Well, tonight's the top 17 or so, anyone else getting a bit disappointed
with the lack of life in the lower reaches? I don't mind Mogwai, Plone,
Billy Mahonie etc in small doses, but the chart seems to be totally
domainated by twiddly ambientness. That Godspeed track was ok for the first
5 minutes or so but by the time it had been running for about 2 hours I'd
started to see my life flashing before me. I'm praying for some Urusei or
Element or Prolapse or Male Nurse to appear and blow away the festive topor
but I suspect this ain't gonna happen. Maybe everyone saved their pent-up
aggression for votes for the Membranes and Big Flame in the 'all-time'
chart?
Well, we shall see...
