It was a great site for old TV and radio programmes to download. Even on my YouTube channel, nearly all my videos on YouTube featuring Peel came from The Box website. There are other websites that are similar to the box, in terms of UK television, but they don't have the large amounts of programmes, that the box had. The closest to the box site was UKNova, but even they also had to closed down as well. I think torrent sites will be there, but as with everything, they will open, closed and then open with a different name. And the cycle continues. Remember Napster, people thought that after they were closed, there would be no music sharing website. How wrong they were, since then, there are loads of those sites.

Just logged on to TheBox and this message came up:

It is with great sadness that we must announce the closure of TheBox.bz, effective on September 1st. This decision has not been an easy one but, given the increasingly hostile climate towards torrent sites as of late, we feel it's a necessary move.
On September 1st, the torrent section of the website will be deactivated. As TheBox has always been as much about community as about sharing, forums and private messages will remain functional for a while longer. Afterward, we will securely wipe all account details before retiring the server for good.
Thank you for being a part of TheBox. It's been a fun ride.

So it looks as if it's too late to catch any of the things you might have missed. Megaupload was just the thin end of the wedge.
