At the other end of the timeline, Eddie’s BFBS tapes are now into January 1981. More of Colin Harper’s reels have been wikified, and there will hopefully be some new shares from the late 80s coming up. The Lee Tapes are in a quiet period, being mixtapes of already complete shows, but will pick up once we move forward into 2001 where the canon is incomplete, while the end of the Lee Tapes contain some unedited shows from the late 80s onwards, plus I have another small box of Gumtree tapes to rip! I also have the job lot of 90s incomplete shows to do, which I haven’t managed to get around to yet, as have been really busy the last few weeks, but things have calmed down now so I will be able to get to that too. These all come from the latter part of 1991 and have a caveat emptor: some are muffled and some exhibit evidence of print through from other shows they were recorded over (at one point, it seems that JP and John Cooper Clarke are sharing the microphone!) However, until we have the definitive complete versions from Eddie (who ceased taping in 1994, so he tells me), these are worth hearing. Many thanks also to Tim for the new Top Gear shares! In other news, I've gradually been adding Colin Harper's reel to reel rips from 1967-1970 to the wiki, that's most of them done but still 30-odd to do! And thanks to Granger354 for adding all the period info to the wiki date pages. These are easily found by looking for the wiki category Harper Reels. There are quite a few sessions from the time that have been unavailable until these reels showed up. The Eddie Berlin BFBS shows are now progressing through the dark and gloomy early 1980s, up to February 1981 so far. Youtube Peel purveyor Fruitierthanthou has been stealthily adding some new content from 1984, specifically the ICA Rock Week concert recordings, many of which are new. Check the wiki pages 2nd Oct, 19th Nov, 26th Nov, 3rd 10th and 17th Dec. Finally for now, the Lee Tapes are up to May 2000, I actually found a track or two of new content, but I think it won't be until we reach early 2001 where some serious gaps will be filled.
