glad you are well, Bill. Would he still be on Radio 1, on 6Music or eeyoring around Ipswich?my earliest memory of John Peel was listening with my older  brother in 1977 when i was 14  and arguing with him that genesis was better than the punk rubbish he listened to as a 17 year old that was started when mr peel played a track from Seconds Out - a live album that i had recently boughr. i said something like you see even your hero plays them. my argument was destroyed when Peel said something like. "i dont know why i still play that dreary old stuff even though i know some of you old folk still like it." i am afraid i think that my brother and John were right.i might have told that anecdote before but as he repeated  his stories many times i feel safe amongst friends!MarkSent from my Samsung device
