"The Shirehorses Story". Broadcast at 9 pm on Christmas Day in 1997.
According to the Radio Time genome, "John Peel recounts the story of the Mancunian supergroup.". No evidence of him on the 45 extract though. The first 15 minutes is missing, but it's Mary Anne Hobbs narrating.
