Hi Mark,

No worries, it’s still a very generous offer! I wasn’t sure if you meant the hard copies or the digital files, even if you don’t have time to scan in the hard copy, I might be able to find someone Who could scan it for me if you were to lend me the book. The kindle book may work for me, Some do read ok on my iPhone. Would someone be able to give me a link to it? Thanks so much

Sorry that I only have hard copies. I thought i woild send them to you and then you would have necessary kit to make them accessible to you. Then it would be good to have them back. Sorry my offer wsnt as generous as you may have imagined!

I would have to scan them and could do on a standard printer and that might take some time for me to do.

Stuart says one is on kindle. Does that work for you? The older one was probably produced pre a lot of digital technology but Ken (the author) is on this group and may have computer files of both in formats you could translate into a format that you could listen to. So before I pray at the altar of my printer for a few days let's explore that avenue!

Are you here Ken?

Mark

Hi Mark,
Okay brilliant, I will be uploading more then very soon. I will start off with the separate 1976 show I got, then I will go onto this box of 80s tapes. They are not quite as complete as the previous shows I have uploaded, as these are only 90 minute tapes mainly, so it seems that the beginnings and the ends of shows are missing on quite a phew, but what is there doesn’t seem to be edited generally, mr peel’s dulcit tones haven’t been edited out, fortunately!

Thanks very much for your very kind offer of the books, were you thinking of sending me a digital copy? It may well read on my computer, and if not, I might be able to get someone to adapt it so that it will. If you could send me them, it would be amazing, thanks so much!

Brilliant if you can do that. Often if there is existing stuff on wiki they are incomplete shows or without the dulcet tones of Mr Peel or new tapes improve the quality so upload it and let others work out the date. People are able to stitch together whole shows from various tapes. Magic!

Not certain about how you could access Ken Garner's books - there are two. If someone sent you copies would you be able to make them readable for you. Happy to do that in recompense for you paying out for all these shows. They go for quite a lot of money as out of print.

You could upload the shows just like what you've done on the Mooo section and if you don't know the year, you can call it Tim's 80's Peel Show Vol.1. The second show can then be called Tim 80's Peel Show Vol 2 and so on. If you do that, people who know the exact dates can wikify the information on the Peel wiki site.
