A little bit of history on this short-lived band: After the first break-up of Free in the spring of 1971, Paul Rodgers briefly formed a three-piece band called Peace. Alongside bassist Stewart McDonald (ex-Killing Floor) and drummer Mick Underwood (ex-Quatermass), Rodgers played guitar and sang lead vocal. Peace supported Mott The Hoople's UK tour in 1971, but broke up when Free reformed at the start of 1972. I can make them available for download. Please advise where to upload. From johnpeel3904@... Sadly no intros, the tape is mostly from March/April 1982. Labelled as side 1 but url says 2 https://www.mixcloud.com/dustysevens/peel-tape-spring-1982-side-2/ https://www.mixcloud.com/dustysevens/peel-tape-spring-1982-side-2/ and vice versa https://www.mixcloud.com/dustysevens/peel-tape-spring-1982-side-1/ https://www.mixcloud.com/dustysevens/peel-tape-spring-1982-side-1/ Picture: https://twitter.com/ohallydear/status/1023940378670624769/photo/1 https://twitter.com/ohallydear/status/1023940378670624769/photo/1 Update: Just been told there's more to come. Date: 31 Jul 2018 00:39:09 -0700 Subject: Six Music using Peel Wiki Message-ID: Introducing a Buzzcocks session track on BBC Six Music this morning the DJ (John Hillcock) directly quoted Peel who had called the group "the kings of the ballroom". I was just wondering whether Hillcock had got this info directly from the Wiki page https://peel.wikia.com/wiki/23_October_1978 and if this had ever happened before, given that Peel sessions are played quite a lot on the station. Cheers.
