I'm puzzled why internet sources have said that it was released in 1980 rather than 1967-68. Perhaps it was an error when someone published the list of records released. I'm guessing their track UFO must have been inspired by the UFO club, which Peel gigged rather than little green men in space crafts !! From barraclough.mike@... There is no information about this record on the internet, including the discogs site. Has anyone heard of this record, or remembered Peel playing it. Perhaps this record never existed or it's been mislabelled as something else. Also it surely can't be a demo, when it was apparently released on a major label like EMI. I wonder if anyone could help with this. I wondered if rather than the label the reference was to the UFO Club. So I googled "Dreamland Express" ufo club. Still largely none the wiser, but the Karel Fialka interview (https://music2dealblog.com/2014/06/02/interview-with-karel-fialka/) is quite entertaining in a slightly off-topic way. As is www.marmalade-skies.co.uk/sep1967.htm which puts them together with Peel. S From kevhkrow@... Sat Jan 20 19:19:06 2018 From: kevhkrow@... He helped me through what I found to be the most difficult of my years (so far). I was a confused and alienated teen and the man made me feel special. He played music that helped me work out what I was and even made me part of the awkward cool kids who were alternative. talking to them about what he played the night before. nme reviews. Going to jigs. being intellectual about music and politics. Not certain if that was the same for others. Was it just an early 80s thing. He did it effortlessly and maybe that is because his love of music also did the same for him - helped him cope with a weird and confusing world . maybe this is a bit heavy for emails Is there a part of wiki where people can answer "what listening to  John Peel meant to them?" Might be intetesting.
