And the BBC radio rock scene became even more polarised from around 1985 when the Friday Rock Show became almost totally contemporary heavy metal / heavy rock, so if you liked the sort of music Peely played in 69-76, you were screwed.

Many thanks again to Tim - it's really good to hear "new" 40-year-old unedited radio rock shows in pristine audio quality. Let's hope the BBC makes available their clutch of Peel shows, UNEDITED and UNABRIDGED, after all, I'm sure that's what the tape donor(s) expected !
