We also discovered some long lost session tracks (Jensen?) on one of our treasure troves that I shared with them - they were grateful. If memory serves it was when they played with the Selecter but they seem to have gone with the Andy Peebles for this selection
I grew up in Camberley and for me they were definitely a punk bank - not post - yes they were suburban and we came late to the party and so never had the street urchin cred of first wave punk. But I still remember the same old boring Sunday morning with the old man out washing the car, mum WAS in the kitchen cooking Sunday dinner. Johnny wasn't upstairs but every lousy Monday morning, Heathrow jets did go crashing over our home and at ten o'clock a Broadmoor siren drove me mad. On Saturday morning family shoppers crowded out the centre of town and young blokes sat on the benches shouting at the young girls walking around.
It really was the sound of my suburb and spoke to me in 1979 like no other music ever had.
Its on my Christmas list and maybe this time round Santa will deliver the goods!
Thanks
Mark
