[peel] OT: Stuart Maconie Freakier Zone

To avoid this sort of thing, I put together a script that finds and
downloads any radio shows that match particular name patterns. As long as I
run it more frequently than once a month (i.e. while the shows are still on
iPlayer), I never miss anything. In practice, I run it roughly once a week.
It saves an awful lot of faff.

In the case of FZ I'd set it up to match anything with "Freak" and "Zone"
in the name using a so-called "regular expression". It's not perfect of
course: if the show had gone through a radical name change, my script
wouldn't have found it. But as long as I check what new files have been
created after each run of the script, I can usually see if anything's
missing.

I can post the script up if anyone wants. It's a Windows batch file, but
I've also written a bash equivalent for Linux. It would be quite easy to
translate into PowerShell as well.

Hello all, BTW! I've been lurking but haven't posted in a while. I'm
currently renting after a relocation, and my tapes and other Peel stuff are
in boxes until we're ready to move. But hopefully I should resume encoding
my tapes at some point.
