Thanks
Glad to see the Lowman tapes have surfaced. Do you have them all now?

Rocker recently sent me the remaining SL Tapes along with a small collection of tapes bought on Gumtree.

I've not investigated the latter yet but I have got a bunch of SL Tapes ripped. Npt too much that is now, mostly sound upgrades but three of the 1992 shows are now complete.

L387 contained two separate portions of 22nd May 1992, one of which completed the last missing few minutes of the show, a portion of 29th May 1992 (that show already complete) and the missing last track of 16th May 1992.

L388 contained more portions of the 22nd and 29th May (already available) .

L389 and L390 each featured the Andy Kershaw show of 30th May 1992 on their a sides, (AK shows available here) with the b sides containing sound upgrades to the Peel Show of the same date.

L391 featured two sides of already available 14th November 1992.

L392 side a fills in a gap in 28th November 1992, previously only a few individual tracks from mixtapes were available from that portion. On side b it's yet another version of the last quarter of 19th December 1992.

L393 side a is back to the Andy Kershaw show of 3rd October 1992, the end of that show available as a separate file from side b, with side b ending with a 9 minute file from the missi
ng start of the Peel show of the same date.

L394 is a Mixing It special. Side a contains the Mixing It Pick Of 1992, which was really enjoyable, and as it was recorded on a Scotch BX rather than the usual Philips FS, is of really high sound quality. Side b was a Mixing It from May 1993.

L395a is the first quarter of 15th January 1993 (already available). On side b was the end of the Andy Kershaw show of the 16th, then the start of the Peel show, mostly new though a few tracks
were available on mixtapes.

L396 was not ripped as it was a documentary  on classical music.

Finally for now, a couple of Derby Box re-rips from 6th and 11th January 1980, in the usual place. (I'm convinced these sound better than FM radio does these days - when broadcast quality meant broadcast quality!)

I shall next week investigate the mysterious Gumtree box!

Stuart
