Just been on line  looking for details of my early/possibly first gig - think it was this one - shortly after the election of the Blessed Margaret and was called Beat the Blues - took about 17 more years! The line up was great and I remember The Pop Group, the Raincoats, JC-C and  Essential Logic well but I have no memory of Mr Peel as compere. I know that Steve So It Goes has an appearances list so this should be added if it s not there already - at least as an advertised appearance - did anyone else go and can they remember him being there? I don't remember that it was organised by the Morning Star (I remember it as a GLC thing) or seeing any of the Folk/Jazz on offer so don't rely on my memory - but it would be odd if he was and I don't remember as I was a besotted teenager ... I would have got in for 50p!
