I know how time consuming and would be a shame if sound you extract doesnt match the tapes but as you and shows from soitgoes are the only thing new of late  I would say keep on keeping on. Presume you have tried the cleaning tip. Although i suspect Stuart would carry on if you fancied handing them over to him ... i had hoped more from publicity around the peel book that gave us so much free publicity. We need the 1000 box to turn up ... we know its out there ... somewhere ....

      Sorry lost heart a bit with all the concentration on sound quality. I will look in to buying other equipment but will see first what some tape head cleaner does.
Its pretty time consuming so if the sound quality isn't good enough ( or maybe never has been ) I will give it a rest for a while.
