While not specifically about unwanted auto reverse, the following link has a few ideas about taps stopping in mid play. It could be that any of these causes could make your player think it has reached the end of the tape and autoreversing. Is there a way to turn autoreverse off? At least it would be easier to know when the player just stopped. From: mailto:peel@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, December 24, 2015 2:38 PMTo: peel@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [peel] Problem with cassette player that feeds into Audacity   Worst case is if the motor is going...

Yes did do that... it works... a bit. Even tried loosening the screws a bit on cassette... that works... a bit. Feels like its the actual player that didn't do it all for the first few down tapes and now seems to have a penchant for it.
