I am a particular fan of the songs of Mike Hart (ex-Roadrunners, ex-Liverpool Scene, ex-Peel sessioneer), and I have been trying to collect his recordings beyond the two solo albums he made for Dandelion. Before those, he was with the Liverpool Scene for one album - 'The Amazing Adventures of....'. I have this on vinyl, but I know there is a CD reissue. My question is, are any of the additional tracks on the CD Mike Hart contributions? Anybody got the CD and can let me know? Incidentally, if there any other Mike Hart fans out there, you might like to know that there were five songs recorded for a third album. I think it started out as just BBC Suffolk and Norfolk but then Bedfordshire, Cambs and Northants joined in too. I remember him saying he was asked to add a 'local' bent to the programmes but his answer was that everywhere was local to somewhere, and used this as an excuse to play pretty much his usual wide playlist. I think they lasted about a year before he gave them up claiming overwork and not being able to devote sufficient time to the preparation. I have a snippet of one of the shows on the end of one of my compilation tapes, but I can't remember which one, so I will have to keep you in suspense until it turns up. Mark C From pgarty@... What any of us wouldn't give to be honoured with a few days to poke around there in the archives at Peel Acres. Eno gets the date wrong though for the first time he heard The Velvet Underground on Radio London: He claims August 17th 1967.
