Yes did do that... it works... a bit. Even tried loosening the screws a bit on cassette... that works... a bit. Feels like its the actual player that didn't do it all for the first few down tapes and now seems to have a penchant for it. Jan 1983 nearly done.. with a fair bit of difficulty though.
