That would make sense as i'd noted in the previous batch s several references to Rockism, John pulling himself up if he'd just said something that might be rockist. And he did correct himself for accidentally referring to a gig instead of a jig.
A quick trip to wikipedia informs us that no other than Pete Wylie is credited with coining the term in 1981 with his Race Against Rockism movement (funnily enough I was thinking about Rock Against Racism just beforehand).
While I can see John agreeing with the fundamental tenets of anti Rockism I can equally see him mildly taking the piss out of any over earnest campaign.
