 A very interesting question! He started them as Rock Today in 1972, and did one a week (I guess) until January 2001, which would make around 1510 altogether. In the show I'm just track listing, from March 1996, he guessed that he must be coming up for the 1000th show, although he admitted that neither could he remember when he began doing them nor did they have any such records in the BFBS studios.....although a correspondent named Roland from Gelsenkirchen had written records akin to Lorcan's, and if he's reading this, please get in touch!
