[peel] Fw: Belle Stars - Richard Skinner session

I think Stuart says that the BBC are prepared to release their sessions to band members so if no one else has supplied and your friend is in contact with a Distraction or two and the bbc have the tapes that might be the way through ... although that route has probably been tried already. I know that Dolly Mixture are releasing a long lost Jensen session this year and assume that this is the route they went down to get it.

Talking of Richard Skinner...

A friend of mine has nearly completed the forthcoming Distractions (of Time Goes By So Slow and Nobody's Perfect fame) compilation. He is still however missing their 1981 (?) Richard Skinner session. If anyone has it or knows how to find it, he'd be very grateful.

best wishes

David

Hi Mark

I noticed on the peel group that a
 14/03/1981 tape has just been
uploaded which included two Belle Stars tracks from the 1981 Richard
Skinner session.

Can you pass on my HUGE thanks to the uploader?  I can't seem to
directly post to the group.

For clarification, the first session track on Side two from The Belle
Stars is 'Big Blonde'.

I can now only hope there's another tape out there somewhere with the
other two (?) tracks from the Richard Skinner session!

Can't believe this has turned up so soon after you lot found the Kid
Jensen session!

Big thanks again from a major Belle Stars fan!

As always, keep up the good work!

All the best

Malc
