[peel] Rich finished with 1990 and new 2000 show

I think the Lowman tapes are of the same era - shame that the late 70s/early 80s haven't yet turned up in such quantity! I am beginning to doubt they will - I haven't yet had a nightmare of being buried in a landfill full of Peel tapes but I'm sure its only a matter of time.

I was wondering if we should search out relevant websites (eg Fall, Joy Division, Punk, Reggae, 80s music) and try and contact folk who run them and ask them to put appeals out for hoarders of tapes or maybe people here run most of them anyway?! I'm happy to do that but wanted to ask permission as is drawing attention to our quest ...

Do we know how much the BBC turned up last time they had an appeal and what they do with their stuff? Is it listed anywhere?

OK, the final tape of 1990 containing the last half of 29th December 1990 hasn't given us any new content though is a bit of a sound upgrade for the non-F50 portion following the F50 segment (though I think my own tape which included the Would-Be's session was clearer).
Overall 1990 now has just under half of all broadcast minutes available, (probably more once the Best of Peel tracks from unknown shows are counted) with more than two-thirds of the shows represented, and more than a quarter of shows are complete.

Jumping forward a decade, on Soundcloud is the complete DJ set by Richie Hawkins as broadcast on 26th April 2000, complete with Peel intro and outro.

Thanks to Rich, now on to 1991, and a bit more of a challenge finding new content.

Stuart
