[peel] RE: 27 October 2004

Think they’ve been there for a year and a half. The 2004 Wiki page shows that there are three shows which were broadcast in November and a tribute show broadcast in October. There were two versions of the last show, one shared by mr maudlin and the other had a top and tail from the BBC WS announcer.

Glad i went to that blog, peels last 3 world service shows along with a world sevice tribute show can be found there: http://lifehassurfacenoise.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/john-peel-last-3-shows-for-bbc-world.html i only had the final one and thats slightly diffrent as mine seems to be a repeat broadcast but on the blog version it appears to be peels last world service show 1st broadcast with a little tribute at the beginning and end from the announcer, i dont know how long these have been on this blog but for me a welcome addition of rare world service shows.

I have been through my post-Peel tapes. The first conclusion is that MarkC, we need all your shows please.

I will rip and share mine as appropriate, but I still can't believe that better quality recordings aren't available elsewhere.

Does anyone know if the 13-10-2005 Peel Day tribute shows are already available? Can't find them on the wiki.

Just looked at my box of Peel minidiscs and have found copies of RDB presented shows:
2-11-04 - only 1 disc so will only be part of the show
3-11-04 - on two discs so should be the whole show
9-11-04 - on two discs so should be the whole show
28-12-04 - on two discs so should be the whole show F50
29-12-04 - on two discs so should be the whole show F50
30-12-04 - on two discs so should be the whole show F50

I can share (with the usual excuses of family/work/life time constraints) and as long as I'm not treading on rocker's toes...
