Yes, the God-like Bill was a mate of the God-like Peely, meeting up for curries in Bradford, but I'm sure Peely wouldn't have booked bands he didn't like to record a famous "Peel sesssion", regardless of friends' persuasion/tips/enthusiasm ! Peely was his own man. U2, Radiohead, Oasis - all unliked by Peely et moi !
