I'm very much an amateur fall obsessive but was amazed by said compliation when i heard it  and taht  kimble was a lee scratch perry number. Always had a soft spot for "bad" music - do we know why MES chose to cover two songs from http://www.discogs.com/Kenny-Everett-The-Worlds-Worst-Record-Show/release/1829531 .Can't imagine him being a big everett fan.

I have my own worst records compilation - transfusion was on it but steve bent's tune didn't make it - if you want an idea of what was search out the fantastic peddlers - adam's life or commander cody's smoke smoke smoke that cigarette or ozark's mountain daredevils - chicken train - or don't f**k around with love by the blenders.

Haven't updated it for a year or two, but if anyone's really interested I could post the tracklist and/or mp3s. These are indeed deep waters though - in the absence of confirmation from MES, it's often guesswork as to what was the original...

Who'd've thought I'd find myself listening to, and quite enjoying, Sister Sledge!!? I can thoroughly recommend it. This then plunged me into the deep waters of Fall covers. As Peel always said, they could take any song and make it sound like one of their own - therefore I was surprised to find they'd covered nearly 60 songs and I'm now obsessed with collecting all the originals and the few Fall versions that I didn't already own.
