Subject: [peel] Return of the son of attic tapes
The latest batch from my usual source. Sadly no Peel content this time, but a large batch of 'In Concert'. I've checked against Bill's list on the Mooo and there was some overlap, and on examination Bill's recordings were by & large better quality than mine, so I'll not bother with them. This leaves 23 which would appear to be new to us.
So I have two options: I can upload them to the Mooo, but given possible space considerations & the large amount of new Peel material coming our way I'll wait until given permission by the esteemed Branko. Meanwhile, if anyone wants any particular one (or more) I can stick them up here via the Yousendit thingy.
List as follows:
1977-03-12 Procol Harum
1977-03-26 Graham Parker and the Rumour
1977-04-23 Stranglers/Dave Edmunds Rockpile
1977-05-07 Racing Cars only
1977-05-14 Frankie Miller's Full House
1977-05-21 The Damned only
1977-06-11 The Lew Lewis Band only
1977-12-03 Nazareth
1978-06-03 Mickey Jupp/The Pirates
1978-06-10 Gruppo Sportivo/The Jam
1978-09-09 Darts
1978-11-18 Chas 'n' Dave/Dr Feelgood
1979-09-22 The Yachts/The Angelic Upstarts
1979-09-27 Ian Dury and the Blockheads
1979-12-29 The Jam
1979-12-31 Blondie at Glasgow Apollo
1980-03-29 The Whirlwind/Matchbox
1981-01-30 Fatal Charm/Ultravox
1981-07-07 XTC
1983-01-22 Joe Jackson
1983-02-12 A Flock of seagulls
1983-08-06 U2
1983-12-24 Paul Young
There was also a slightly more complete (by about 2 minutes) version of the Albertos set from 17-12-77, this is replacing the old version on my Mooo page http://mooo.peelwiki.com/dl/pete/ as I type.
Cheers aye, Pete
