Well I imagine I'm very much part of the Guardian-reading PC brigade these days, but my 17-year-old self took a rather different view. I was a proud possessor of the original 'uncensored' cover & took great trouble to make sure the parents didn't see it. Our local Virgin store had a huge display when it was released, caused quite a stir in mid-seventies Hull...
