8th October 1994 - Galliano (Glastonbury 1994); Radio 2, in an early hint of what it was to become later, had a rerun of The Kinks at the Rainbow Theatre, originally broadcast on Radio 1, obviously on the same FM frequencies, on Christmas Eve 1977
9th October 1994 - Elvis Presley Tribute Concert from Memphis, with a line-up far too point-missing to mention
15th October 1994 - Lisa Stansfield with the London Philharmonic Orchestra; Radio 2 had a rerun of the Alison Moyet concert originally broadcast on Radio 1 - also on the same FM frequencies, at much the same time of the day - on 19th January 1985
22nd October 1994 - Prince (said to be a repeat, recorded in autumn 1993; its original transmission may have been on one of the two "missing" days, 30th October 1993 or - less likely - 7th May 1994, or perhaps on 11th December 1993 when the Concert of Hope was scheduled)
29th October 1994 - Nanci Griffith

10th December 1994 - Pop Will Eat Itself
17th December 1994 - Eternal
24th December 1994 - Elton John (repeat from Christmas Eve 1974; RT says 1973 but I'm sure that's wrong)
25th December 1994 - 'Paris, London' with Johnnie Walker: history of the series featuring Tyrannosaurus Rex, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell and The Jam
26th December 1994 - The Prince's Trust Gala Concert (simulcast on BBC1; Kylie Minogue, East 17 and - eek - Belinda Carlisle, Joe Cocker and even Cliff Richard billed)
27th December 1994 - Classic Concerts: hour-long show with a selection from Faces (1973), Led Zeppelin (1971), Queen (1976), Rolling Stones (1971)
28th December 1994 - Classic Concerts: hour-long show with a selection from the Undertones (1980), Ian Dury and the Blockheads and the Boomtown Rats (1978), Sham 69 and Members (1979) and Generation X and The Jam (1978)

2nd January 1995 - highlights of Woodstock 94

So we've now reached what will undoubtedly be the last appearances by the likes of Dire Straits or - even if only by default - Cliff Richard; the live broadcast on 5th October was a real harbinger and we're now heading into the Bannister / Britpop years (I won't mention that other B). More to come. But not quite yet ...
