You wouldn't get digital sound anyway if that's what you mean? the headphones output should work if the volume level is turned down.
Somebody did have a go a modifying this ghettoblaster to add audio inputs http://www.mediafire.com/?clymytnyymd and http://antiqueradios.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=63755 though not the mod you want.
Another suggestion I found was -
You could use the high level speaker outputs and "pad" down the outputs to line level using a pair of potentiometers, one for each the left and right channels, if you have any electronic wiring knowledge.
