I've loved the Fairies ever since Never Never Land came out and they were never "prog". That's like describing the Pistols as "country"!
 
They were as you described them Humphrey "sound pretty good, very rough and ready, great guitar, a bit pub-rock-ish" just a good time rock & roll band.

The Pink Fairies sound pretty good, very rough and ready, great guitar, a bit pub-rock-ish, not prog at all !
