Late For The Party

Thanks Steve, nice work. Although I have to be all curmudgeonly here and say I think I prefer the scratchy, muffled (albeit speed-corrected) version; a tape from 1979 just *shouldn't* sound crisp and bright to my ears, it's all wrong!
(Insert anecdote about tinny MW reception under the bedclothes here)
On a point of order, Mr Chairman - weren't Peel's post-1978 shows only supposed to be 1:58 in length, typically? Didn't Radio 2 (on FM) have a ~2 minute news broadcast at 10pm, with the transmitters going over to R1 immediately afterwards? Or was that later?
I'll get my coat.
Ray

I took a couple of liberties with the original: by adjusting the pitch on one link so that it fitted the fade, and, since the start and part of one link were not recorded, Â and by allowing the sig to run on until the mandatory two hour running time was complete. I hope you enjoy the result.
