Brilliant to see early stuff surfacing - tRex and Beefheart. WoW.
 
 I remember Peel saying in the early 80s he was sad and puzzled why he fell out with Bolan and not understanding why - and then later seeing a recording on some Bolan documenatry of Peel  on TV slagging Marc off in the early 70s for selling out and drving around in rolls royces - that might explain why he stopped talking to him!

Sessions: Tyrannosorus Rex (Bolan also in studio chatting with Peel), Beefheart (1st session, 1st broadcast), Moody Blues (Nights in White Satin is a current chart hit), Hendrix and Tomorrow.

Historic stuff: this is Peel's first "solo flight" in TG and he has also just been on TOTP for the first time earlier that week (and thanks Jimmy Savile for looking after him). 

Many thanks indeed to wiki user "Johns Corner" and others responsible for bringing us this. Hopefully more to come from the same kind of era.
