Though easier than listening to all the Peel shows for possible commentary -
I have come across a few post Melody Maker awards ceremony comments in shows
during my Herculean BFBS and SL tape tracklisting efforts, but I didn't
think of going the extra mile and documenting these! (hard enough keeping on
top of Football and Gigography and Blue Link bands..)

well, I do! The Mitchell Library in Glasgow has extensive, if not complete,
runs of NME, MM, and Sounds. But that sounds like a lot of work to check
such a thing - here was me looking for an easy solution...

but that does not look quite right or complete to me. I am sure he won DJ of
the year from Melody Maker (and NME, and SOUNDS, and... whoever) many more
times than that page says. Does anyone know of the existence of any kind of
definitive list of Peel's DJ of the year awards, year by year, title by
title?
