With all this talk of The Groundhogs I should mention that their drummer Ken currently plays for McDowell, a folk / rock / indie band from Bristol.
The band recently came round to my kitchen studio & recorded a session, three tracks of which will be going out in my show during November, at http://www.dandelionradio.com. I must say I am really happy with how well this session has turned out - one of the best ones I have recorded, definitely worth listening out for!
If Dandelion Radio sessions counted, then I reckon Ken would be up for some sort of award from that other Ken (Garner) for the longest gap between session appearances!
Also if you're quick you still have a few days to hear my October show - featuring an exclusive session by Tender Trap, the current band featuring Amelia and Rob from Heavenly / Talulah Gosh etc. It goes out on Friday 28th @ 9pm BST; Sat 29th @ 5pm BST; and Sun 30th @ 8am GMT.
Cheers!
