I've been meaning to mention this to the list for years...
There is a Sunday afternoon (or night to most of you) radio show, two hours each Sunday from 3-5PM Eastern US time, that is about the best very current round-up of brand new releases and re-issues I have found. The host, Jeff Clark, is a Peel disciple, and plays carefully chosen stuff that has been out for about like 5 minutes. It's on right now as I write this, but try to check out all of it next Sunday, as it is live only and not archived.
The various steaming options, phone apps too, here:

The station, WMLB-AM, is a real oddity in the ocean of the 14,420 radio stations in the US (actual number.) Some rich guy, a bakery executive who loved music, everything, retired. Rather than buy a yacht, he bought a radio station, and hired a small staff of friends to just play what they wanted. That was 10 years ago and at first it was opera and ragtime mixed in with 40s-50s stuff.... musically ehhh? but just a strange thing to have this stuff on the car radio.
Then came hipper DJs, and the web, and now it is quite a unique musical force here. Lots of US soul and straight up jazz and PJ Harvey and etc all mashed up wisely, 24 hrs a day. They dont make much money and dont care. All well engineered too.
And Friday at 7PM, or London midnight, is a specific Georgia Music show. If ya dig indigenous scenes and small labels, it is full of quality surprises.
