New album due early next year apparently

First time I heard him was on Peel in 1986. One of those people who I got into (like Devoto, Wyatt, Marc Riley) who you heard a later song by without realising they had already had a fair bit of history behind them. Couldn't happen nowadays, internet doesn't allow it.
