Another weird coincidence? Just ripping a tape of the January 5th 2000
(an All Time Festive Fifty show) and came across this link.

John is reading out an email he's had from 'Dead Man Jones'. `"Am I
the only person to find it astonishing not to find anything from Muse in
the [All Time Festive] Fifty, especially after the play that you and
Steve [Lamacq] have given the band".

`Well as Anita the producer, who's sitting behind me, and Lynn
the office junior who's sitting behind her can confirm, we've
never played a single track by Muse on the radio. I'm afraid Dead
Man Jones you have got that fantastically and spectacularly wrong. Not a
single Muse track has been played on this programme.'

I think that makes the position clear. (Hoping to make this rip
available shortly).
