At Last The 2000 Show

I find that JP's voice is very sensitive to slight changes in recording distortion, reception, tonal balance, speed errors, whether he has a cold, is up or down......
And yes I can hear a strange roughness to the recording, and slightly cut off in the treble. I've not listened very closely but it might be due to being recorded on a portable cassette recorder (was anyone still using them in 2000?) or was streamed from a Listen Again webpage (had that started in 2000?).
I somehow don't think you will like the 400 Box show I'm ripping at the moment, as it is AM mono, with very strong night time reception fading and distortion, yet I am enjoying it very much as I know it is likely to be the only version of that show I will ever hear.
I personally prefer the sound of http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/Peel_Late_Sep_-_Oct_1983 but I would say that.....

Maybe the FM was not tuned-in properly ? .. Anyway, if anyone has an upgrade (hi Andrew !), I'd love to hear it - after all, this is a vital all-time FF show ! Sorry if I've offended anyone, it's certainly NOT my intention.
