After waiting a year-and-a-half for a reply, I have just found the answer in my local paper; John was in fact half right - they're apparently from Kingsteignton, which is a bit further west, and not far from where I live. They're in the paper because their 4 Peel sessions are being released on CD. I'll add it to my Xmas list.
Meantime, the 2 parts of the JP/SM show (see below) are, surprisingly, still available on Megaupload.
Does anyone know how long they keep files available? 
Does it mean they're still being downloaded regularly?
