New: 14 October 1996 (Peel in for Mark Radcliffe)

Hi all.

Before I resume my 400 box rips, I've got a couple of things in my collection to share first. I've mentioned both in the past: I'd intended to rip them back in 2008 before my tape deck woes threw a spanner into the soup.

First up is a 20 minute extract of a show from the second week in 1996 when Peel sat in for Mark Radcliffe's Radio 1 evening show, which went out from 10pm - midnight.

Monday 14 October 1996 featured a live session from the peerless Half Man Half Biscuit. At the time of recording, FM reception on my stereo system was not great, so in the period 1994 - 96 I recorded a few radio shows onto VHS through my satellite receiver, then later connected the video player to my stereo to record the session tracks etc onto cassette. In this case I transferred the HMHB content, then (sadly) recycled the video tape by recording over the full show. Bah!

Source: satellite radio > VHS tape > TDK D90 cassette.
The sound quality is very clear, but it's in mono.
