[peel] Lo-fi Peel recordings from yesteryear

I may be repeating myself Mark but how about the Peel Session track of their "Moon in June" for Top Gear.
It was a real gem of a session track where Robert Wyatt hastily rewrote the lyrics in the studio prior to recording the session. Basically, the lyrics became a musical diary of their experience of recording a Top Gear session.
Extract:-
"....Not forgetting the extra facilities, such as the tea machine, just along the corridor.
So to all our mates like Kevin, Caravan and the old Pink Floyd.
Allow me to recommend Top Gear, despite it's extraordinary name."
Taken from that book by whotsisname.

Listening to this now - very enjoyable. Thanks Ed. Makes me think I should put some Wyatt/Soft Machine in my August Peel Back & Sniff feature on Dandelion Radio. Requests welcome, as always.

Looking at this file now, I'm amazed to find that it's been two years since I ripped it from Colin's cassette. I was always planning to try and tidy it up a bit as there's speed issues, tape hiss, all sorts. But I think it's time to just upload it now and see what others make of it.

You'll hear the unseen hand of the person who originally taped the shows, and, as mentioned earlier, a lot of tape hiss and other problems. But here we go:

First of all, here's Peelie from 1975 or thereabouts absolutely LAYING into current critics' darling Patti Smith (and, while he's at it, Bruce Springsteen). It's probably from Radio 1's Round Table, as Kid Jensen can be heard attempting to moderate. I've corrected the speed on this as best I can, but quality is still ultra-dodgy:

February 1969), this is a Peter Cook spoof of the Lennon/Ono episode of Night Ride from two months previous. To these ears Cook sounds more like a Brummie than a sort-of-Liverpudian, but never mind, here it is:
