Hi Ken - before the Dandelion recordings, Mike Hart contributed one
track - the aforementioned 'Elsie Straws Saga' - to a compilation
album on RCA. This was called '49 Greek Street' - the address of the
Les Cousins folk club - and was dedicated 'For everyone who's ever
been to, played or sung at 49 Greek Street' (RCA SF8118, 1970). I
would guess he was under contract to RCA as, if I remember correctly,
The Liverpool Scene were on RCA. I don't know if he recorded anything
else for RCA though. I would be interested in any recordings from
around this time -thanks!

John

Dear John - happy to add that in as a correction, I'm sure you're
right, to the title on that
session, but can;t find anything on the web that confirms that. So can
you confirm your
source please for the song title being Elsie Straw's Saga? Ta

ps. There is in fact a long-standing private network of tape
collectors around which quite
a few of the night rides go round (eg I think the show with Davy
Graham does exist on
tape somewhere), but they tend to be quite secretive, and I don't
think any of them are
members of this list. I will ask the person I know who has contacts
with this informal club
when I next bump into him about this date...
