Speaking of 'The Box', i've uploaded this week the Top Of The Pops xmas specials from 1981 + 1982 both of which are hosted by John. (just a brief appearance in 1981 mentioning his disasterous show in the 60's introducing the Amen Corner) 
Anyway- there's some great music on there as well- memories of Christmas gone by!!

I recently noticed that TheBox has another version of Peelie's This is Your Life available. And, despite its being encoded in hoary old DivX, I think you'll find it's a bit better than the one that usually does the rounds. If, like me, you have the 25 minute version, you'll gain about four extra minutes as this one is complete, containing the John Gorman and Kid Jensen bits that were missing/incomplete from the previous encode. (Both missing bits contained European Cup anecdotes, coincidentally) . The image looks a fair bit sharper too.

I'm planning to upload something myself in the near future too: an episode of Noel Edmonds' Late Late Breakfast Show from 1983. And before you pelt me with silt, I should hastily add that it's the one where JP was on the show reporting from Santa Pod, where there was a bit of an 'incident', as described in the Peel 60th birthday edition of the Radio Times. Megaupload keeps failing on me, so expect it delivered by some other method in the near future.
