And a happy John Peel Day to everyone from me too. Just belatedly to let everyone here know that we're keeping it Peel at the Buffs in Runcorn tomorrow night (Friday) with Calvin Party headlining, and support from 13 Amp and Sleeping John Hancell, plus DJ set from Dandelion's Pete Jackson. £4 and any proceeds (assuming we make anything) to fund donations split between two charities.

  Happy John Peel Day.

Am thoroughly enjoying listening to the Peel tribute by Singapore-based broadcasters unpopular-music (http://unpopular-music.blogspot.com/) and all-the-more enamored with the discovery that one can actually hear their shows without having to download anything or owt like that.
It can be both heard online AND downloaded at http://www.zshare.net/audio/2008640753516188/

It starts with The Fall, goes onto to a song called 'Does This Train Stop on Merseyside' and then features some Axl Rose-bait with the first airing of a song from that long-awaited 'Chinese Democracy' album (except it's by Etc) and then there's The Padres; Cribs (featuring Lee Ranaldo); Force Vomit; Robert Wyatt; The Karl Maka; Cuban Boys; John Peel himself... and lots lots more. And remember to keep it Peel.
