Last one for now:

'i was listening to the part time punks program on a college radio 
station the other day. they had a segment of john peel sessions and 
played one band that was strikingly good. i was hoping you could help 
me find out the name of the band... i believe the session was 
recorded in the 1980s..their sound was evidently postpunk with deep 
vocals. and they covered new order's "true faith"... does it ring a 
bell?'
