[peel] Re: 'The DK Box': 53 Shows from 2000

Thanks, Bill

I've had a couple of people offering help, but I think 30242.net may be best. (I'll definitely get back to you, Gary - and thanks to others.)

Would that the Peel clips from Fluff *were* part and parcel of whole Alan Freeman shows. These are my own 30-odd year old recordings, back in the time when my pocket money couldn't possibly have stretched to archiving 2 hours per programme! (or was it 3?) What I'd give now, though... I used to simply have my tape deck waiting on pause and captured stuff as I felt fit. I do have a few 'starts' of his programme, though. Brings it all back.

Included, though are:

Peel, bored, makes a prank insulting telephone call to Fluff
Peel reads, at truly tedious length, from Roman poet Catullus ...in Latin
Peel celebrates (at the time of the US bicentennial) Fluff's 200th birthday
Peel arrives by helicopter in an African village as he and Walters search for Tony Wilson
Peel and Walters break into Fluff's house, in camouflage, trying to discover his 'exclusive'
Peel and Walters hold a seance

Most clips are over 4 mins. All are at Fluff's expense. These are the ones I've laid my hands on just now. There could be one or two more - I'll have to check.

Cheers,

DK

  Gary,

Many thanks for offering to host them.

  HI DK,

Pease take up Gary's offer of posting them to 30242.net.

It woud be the perfect place for them.

Also, as barguest says, wherever those Peel/Walters Fluff show
segments are, please keep them intact.

We are hoping that they are on full or part Fluff shows from the
  70's. (or were they rebroadcast?)

  Bill
