Let's not despair just yet I was talking to Rocker about this at Indietracks and he has only listened to 2 tapes out of 400, so that doesn't mean that they were all AM only recordings.

When did Radio 1 actually start broadcasting in FM anyway? I remember from my childhood the fanfare when they started broadcasting the charts in FM, so I'm guessing it was the early 80's?
