A Couple More.

Gary, those files are so huge I dare not download them on the missus'
PC (new Mac coming soon), but I did notice that the date you've got
on the Salt Tank one is the recording date of the session: if that
tape is of the show with it in, then the date of the show/tape is
actually Friday 5/8/94 (or 940508 in our new standard file dating and
naming system). Which led me to wonder what site(s) you are using on
the web to date the shows? Beware - as others here have reported
before - of the Radio 1 Peel site and its various hacker derivations
out there. Only original source for this was Radio 1 Romeo computer
records which are legendarily patchy, great in some years, rubbish in
others. Although the official Peel site does actually have this Salt
Tank broadcast date, the site indexes and files the sessions by
recording date only, so that's the date you see first - because so
many of the TX dates are missing (see 1999 for example). But rest
assured, any nitpicking swine like me armed with my book can now
provide the right show dates! Looking forward to exploring your
archive further, but only in mp3...
