Cheers, Eddie. I remember reading the list in a music paper the following week, but I'd 
been on holiday or something and hadn't heard the show. I was pretty disappointed at the 
time and never really suspected I'd be able to hear it for the first time decades later, while 
living on the other side of the world. 

Think it's a pretty interesting selection of songs, because although he does say they aren't 
necessarily his 40 favourites of all time, there is quite a big overlap with stuff like the 
Peelenium, the Singles Box, the Fabric comp, and even Desert Island discs.

Maybe we someone should work out a chart or something.
