Dear Bill
If it helps to narrow down your search, Ken states in his book that
Peel started broadcasting the 76 FF from number 44 on 27 December
1976: therefore 45-50 were never broadcast anyway (maybe he just
listed them).
Re Freebird: the live version on 'One More From The Road' has the long
ending, whereas the version on 'Pronounced' fades out after 9 and a
half minutes. The 'proper' ending to the studio recording was not made
available until after the song ceased to feature in the FF.
And finally, JP categorically states in the 1983 FF before playing
Sophie And Peter Johnson's 'Television' that it was the first session
track ever to make the chart: up to that point , he had always played
the studio recordings of each track.
